What IS DUNC?

Double Up NC (DUNC) is a nutrition incentive program that provides a dollar-for-dollar match for SNAP/EBT. The match can be used at farmers markets, food hubs, and direct agricultural retail outlets in North Carolina. With DUNC, participants can stretch their purchasing power and make buying local, nutritious foods more affordable. DUNC also grows the economy of rural communities, creating local markets for NC farmers. NCFMN and partners are actively working to secure state funding and launch Double Up NC in 2026. 26 other states have SNAP incentives funding in their state budget — we believe North Carolina is next!
